Heather Stiteler, Storyteller

After graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in English Literature, I started my career telling 30 second stories in advertising as a copywriter. As part of that job, I was doing more than “writing” copy. I was constantly reading it, too. Presenting it to bosses, selling it to clients, and recording scratch tracks for demos. This meant I had to learn to tell the story just how I imagined a voiceover artist would and get comfortable in the booth. In no time, I found myself reading scratch tracks for other writers, narrating corporate videos for my agency, and generally being the “go to” voice when anyone needed something recorded. And I enjoyed the process so much, I decided to pursue voiceover professionally.

As a voiceover artist, my advertising background gives me a unique perspective. I’ve written hundreds upon hundreds of commercials and personally directed all of the voiceover talent who performed in them. With that experience, I can look at a piece of copy and know what the writer intended, what’s important to the client, and what notes should be hit.

But I also know that Voiceover is a talent in and of itself, so I’ve had years of private coaching and also studied at the Kalemnson & Kalmenson Voiceover School in Los Angeles. Classes in Improv and Stand Up Comedy have helped me further refine my timing and delivery.

I have a real passion for storytelling and performance, and I’d love to bring that passion to your project.
